Sod and Aeration

Aeration is the process of making finger sized holes in your lawn and depositing the removed material on the surface to break down. It helps to make your lawn stronger and healthier.

Aeration helps to improve your lawn several ways. It helps the grass build better root systems, increases the movement of air and water into the soil, and increases the effectiveness of the fungicides and fertilizers that you apply.

All species of grass and soil types benefit from aeration, and the best time to schedule aeration for warm season grasses such as St. Augustine, bermuda, or zoysia is late spring or summer after the spring green up.
